ROLE: ART DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT

This was a project full of technical complexities where interdepartmental collaboration was key. Within the Art Department, we had to "solve" the script by designing how to represent and bring to life each of the challenges the characters encountered.

My activities included research, concept development and design. Attending both director’s and tech scouts then communicating the requirements of each set to Set Dec, Props, Graphics, Construction and Greens. Collaborating with the Director of Photography on the design of sets with special lighting needs.

Designing and producing key elements from the script such as a mural (vectors), a safe (3D modeling), sculptures (modeling and drawing), a Mayan codex and a fresco (hand-painted). Coordinating communication and logistics between the Art Department and other departments like Picture Cars, VFX, Locations as well as with vendors.

Also provided support during dressings and shootings helping as a liaison between the Art on-set teams and both the Director and Director of Photography.
